JOHN PAUL WESTBROOK
Before coming to Indian River Golf Club, John Paul Westbrook served as the PGA Head Golf Professional at Little Traverse Bay Golf Club and Restaurant from 2004 to 2013. Prior to that, he was an assistant professional at two of Michigan’s older, traditional private country clubs:  Bloomfield Hills (1909) and Kent (1896) Country Clubs. His experience has covered four states and eleven facilities; public, private and resort. JP became a PGA member in 1998 after fulfilling his requirements through a PGM education at Ferris State University.  In the off season, he works at Nub's Nob Ski Resort as a chairlift operator and loves to spend time with his family.
John Paul is also an active volunteer within the community and the PGA. He has been the president of the Grain Train Natural Food Cooperative board and a director since 2006.  The Grain Train has expanded, adding an additional store in Boyne City under JP’s leadership. JP was awarded the Michigan PGA Merchandiser of the Year – Public award in 2011 and 2013. JP also served on the Michigan PGA Employment committee for two years and is a member of the Michigan PGA Special Awards committee.

John Paul and his wife, Okee, live in Harbor Springs and have two wonderful children.
